Repeat Prescriptions

If you wish to request a repeat prescription please ask at least 48 hours before you run out. Please make your request in writing.

We cannot accept phone calls as this too often leads to mistakes.

Once your repeat prescription is ready, you can either:

  • Collect in person (discouraged during the pandemic)
  • Have it sent to you in a stamped addressed envelope
  • Sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy

For more information about registering for our online services click here.

Some local pharmacies will collect from the surgery and may deliver to the elderly or housebound, please check with your pharmacy.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

You will be sent a text/sms reminder for annual medication reviews, if you choose to not attend or ignore our requests for a medication review, you will notice the quantity of your medication will be reduced or stopped.
